With multiple different Fortnite influencers deciding to support and promote their brands through official in-game tournaments, it only makes sense for one of the most recognizable faces of the game to join in on the fun. I’m talking about none other than popular Twitch Streamer Nicholas “Nick Eh 30” Amyoony.
On November 22nd, just days after the “One Percent Cup” Nick Eh 30 will join the unique group of Fortnite creators who have hosted their own official in-game tournaments.
Nick Eh 30 has decided to host a solos tournament with custom rules that players will have to adhere to. The tournament is played across two different sessions on the same day that span between 3:00PM EST - 10:00PM EST, which makes for a long day of intense solos! With over 70,000 players registered at the time of writing, the top 99 players who place in open qualifiers will move onto the second round, where they will battle over 6 games for a $10,000 prize pool.
With a scoring system similar to DreamHack’s events, placement points will slowly increment as the player count in the game shrinks, the exact scoring system can be viewed HERE. The major difference between this scoring system and DreamHack is the elimination point amount, with only 1 point being awarded for each elimination and 50 points being awarded for a Victory Royale, you’re much better off playing for end-game then w-keying players and hoping for high kill popoffs.
The Nick Eh 30 Cup will be exclusively played on NAE servers. Although this may deter other regions from playing, it is not region locked and anyone from anywhere in the world is allowed to sign up, although it may be a long night of games! Arena ranking is also not applicable in this tournament, meaning the only caveat to signing up is properly registering in time, which you can do here
With Nick Eh 30 hosting possibly the last solo event of season four, this gives players who may have been struggling to find teams next season a much needed opportunity to prove themselves and show their skill. Make sure to register as soon as possible to make sure you have the chance of claiming part of the $10,000 prize pool!
